Madrid 2020 Olympic Games will generate 86,000 jobs

Interesting article op www.aroundtherings.com. Most jobs created are the result of investments in infrastructure by the Spanish government (75.000 fte), and only relatively few jobs are the result of tourists coming to Madrid (7500 fte). Given that the Spanish government does not have unlimited resources, the big unanswered question is, how many job are lost because the Spanish government had to cut other spending (like investments in schools). My guess is that as much jobs are lost in those other sectors as were gained by the infrastructure investments. So, unfortunately not many new jobs for Spanish people.
